Einar Olav Larsen
Einar Olav Larsen is from Verdal Norway. He is a
Norwegian folk musician and composer, known from
several bands and orchestras. He is educated at the Ole
Bull Academy at Voss.
Einar Olav Larsen has grown up in a musical family. He is
the son of folk musician Geir Egil Larsen and brother of
folk musician Gjermund Larsen. During their childhood,
the brothers were taught by various folk musicians which
has characterized and furthered their musical career. He
himself believes that he is strongly influenced by famous
folk musicians like Hilmar Alexandersen & the P.A. Røstad
Quartet, Sven Nyhus and Eric Öst.

dominated by fiddles and bagpipes. The Scottish music
treasure is explored in detailed arrangements and with a
intense melodic interplay between the two musicians.
With their musical roots from the Nordic polska, French
waltzes and modern Scandinavian jazz, new musical
parameters are infiltrated into the traditional expression.
Many of the songs are brought to Scandinavia by Larisa,
after her several visits to Scotland / England, while other
songs are composed by Sivert or Larisa. Common to all
of them, is that they are strongly influenced by the
Scottish folk music treasure.

Hildur Dance Company is a group of musicians and
dancers who create artistic productions based on folk
dance and music traditions from central Norway. The
performers share a common interest in the
interdependent relationship between dance and music –
and in exploring space and inclusion. With a playful and
open approach to tradition, the company creates
moments of surprise, melancholy, and clarity in their
various productions, which are aimed at school students,
the elderly, and the general public.
